The United States Virgin Islands

The United States Virgin Islands is one of the most preferred holiday destinations the world over. It comprises of three beautiful islands in the Caribbean, namely, St.Thomas, St.Croix and St.John along with a smaller Water Island and many other minor islands.

The islands have built a solid reputation over the years and offer a lot to its tourists. Spotless beaches, tropical weather and crystal clear water is ideal for the welcome break holiday makers look for.

The three main islands are much commercialized with a number of fine hotels and resorts. The variety of restaurants and bars are sure to leave you spoiled for choice. The same goes for the number of activities on the island. The star attractions for tourists here are the secluded beaches, great water sports, National Parks, duty free shopping, campgrounds and fantastic nightlife among many others. There is never a dull moment on these world famous islands where you can choose to have a lazy holiday sunbathing or an active one trekking or kayaking! Golf is a very popular amongst tourists here and you will also find beautiful courses which have been putted-on by some big names!

Getting around is never a problem here as there are a number of taxis, cars and two wheelers available for rent on the islands, whose hilly topography is not conducive for walking. The capital Charlotte Amelie on St. Thomas is the only part of the island that can be explored by foot and one is advised to do so!

One distinguishing factor on this island is the lively people there. They are friendly, helpful and always have a smile on their faces. They are good hosts and serve you well. Tourism is the primary economic activity here and most of the locals are involved in it some way or the other.
